Keep Going…

This season in Ministry can be so joyous, so sweet, and at the same time so discouraging and hard.

Why?

So many expectations for the season…

So many things, activities, services…

Planning for the year ahead…

Personal busyness and family expectations…

It can be a hard season for anyone in a ministry position.

Let me encourage you to take a step back, take a day or two and just refocus and rest in Christ. Reground yourself in your calling, your mission, your relationship with Him. Take some time with just you and the one who has called you to where you are right now.

We all go through times of discouragement and being so busy that we lose sight of what we are called to and we just want to walk away from it all. It happens and sometimes it is healthy and needed to step away for a time to refresh, recharge, and refocus. If we are intentional to take time to do these things before we get overwhelmed, think about how much better we would feel as we push through the hard and busy seasons.

If you have been called to it… Stay with it, my friends. The World NEEDS you. Your church NEEDS you. The people around you NEED you. God has called you where you are for a purpose… You are needed! This is why it is so important for us to stay healthy spiritually and rested in Him.

We say it all the time to others, BUT make sure YOU remind yourself daily about what this season is all about. It is about the birth of Jesus. The reason we do what we do. It is ALL about Him! He came so that we may have life! We get the sweetest opportunity to serve Him daily and help point others to Him and help them grow in their relationship with Him. That makes the hard and busy seasons so worth it.

YOU are making a difference!!! Keep showing up, but also take time to recharge and rest in HIM!
