New Beginnings…

This blog post will be different than the rest as we want to use this first post to talk about and share about what we feel God has called us to in this new season, new year, and new adventure.

This past Summer, God showed us that it was time to step away from the church we had been attending since moving to NC 3 years ago. When we moved to NC we wanted to be where God could use us and where He needed us. When we were no longer needed, it was time to step away and let God put us where He needs us and could use us best.

We spent 8 weeks not going anywhere so that we could pray and focus on our own personal relationship with Christ.

At the end of the 8 weeks we started visiting a few churches… This process showed us a lot. One Sunday after church, I got to the car and cried… Not 1 person talked to us. I was so heartbroken and it was something so small, yet so big. I long for a church community, church friends, and a church family. Being so far away from family and leaving the one community we had been a part of since moving to NC, this is something that is HUGE for me… for us. On the way home that morning my husband looked at me and said “What if this is where God needs us?”. Then we started talking about what we were both passionate about when it comes to helping people connect to Gospel centered community and helping churches create healthy, welcoming environments and experiences for everyone that pulls in their parking lots.

The next week, we talked about what we both felt God leading us to and that is this! We created Teel Coaching and Consulting through lots of prayer, research, and passion. Our desire is to walk alongside churches, ministries, leaders, and individuals as they strive to live out their missions and callings for Christ.

I am a certified life and ministry coach. I love helping people take steps into their calling, passions, and using their gifts for Christ… and sometimes even discovering what that might be. We also want to use that as part of the consulting with churches as Secret Shoppers to give grace-FULL feedback. Our desire is to help churches create healthy, welcoming environments that pull people in and makes them feel loved, seen, and valued from the time they pull in a parking lot to the time they leave.

As an added piece we feel God leading us to is Ministry Care support. If you serve on staff or as a volunteer we want to offer support, resources, prayer, and encouragement for you. One of things I have found that is missing in most churches is encouragement, care, and support for Ministry leaders. I have gone through seasons of discouragement and there really isn’t a lot out there for us… so we want to add this as something we provide.
